Job Summary
Pastry Cook responsible for dessert production for dinner service, including baking, sauce work, and chocolate work, within Hai Hospitality's Uchi Dallas concept. Morning to mid afternoon shift (approximately 7am–3pm). Requires pastry production experience, ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and knives. Required Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: able to effectively communicate with guests and employees
- Detect and identify safety issues and comply with safety guidelines
- Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs; stock inventory and restock duties
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach in a fast-paced kitchen
- Work in varying temperatures (hot and cold)
- Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, grills, knives)
- Maintain neat, organized workspace and proper storage and cleaning
- Move quickly to respond to customer needs
- Work closely with coworkers in a crowded environment
- Understand directives and communicate with leadership and coworkers
