Job Summary
Cultivating Food & Beverage Excellence: Pastry Cook III responsible for preparing and serving all pastry items for a la carte and buffet menus, maintaining recipe cards and production schedules, ensuring freshness and quality, collaborating in shift briefings, and upholding safety, sanitation, and hotel policies while contributing to a world-class culinary platform at Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset
- Previous experience in Pastry in a high volume restaurant required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Working knowledge of weights, measures and various cooking techniques.
- Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Physical Aspects of Position: Constant standing and walking; lifting up to 30 lbs; kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting; ladders, stairs and ramps
