Job Summary

Pastry Cook needed to join a dynamic bakery/restaurant team and work with the Pastry Chef in production and service. Responsibilities include overseeing pastry production areas, executing recipes, maintaining equipment, applying basic pastry techniques (scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, finishing), contributing to a dynamic pastry program with seasonal specials, ensuring quality standards are met daily, and ensuring ingredients and items are stocked at shift start while communicating needs promptly to uphold the Chef's standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ professional cooking experience in a restaurant or equivalent establishment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (must be able to perform basic arithmetic)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Organizational and communication skills; personable demeanor; ability to work as part of a team; reservation-management systems knowledge preferred
