Job Summary
Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, and breads following traditional and modern recipes; create new and exciting desserts to renew menus; decorate pastries with icings and toppings to ensure presentation; monitor stocks and place budget-conscious orders; ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen; supervise and motivate pastry assistants and bakers; assist in recruiting and training personnel; maintain a lean, orderly station and adhere to health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience as a mid-level cook or higher
- Proven experience as Pastry Cook, baker or relevant role
- ServeSafe Certification
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field
