Job Summary
Prepare and plate desserts, pastries, and breads in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards; assist in developing seasonal dessert offerings and daily specials; ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of ingredients and finished products; follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean, organized station; support inventory management and collaboration with front- and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service; leverage classic and contemporary pastry techniques to craft plated desserts, pastries, breads, and specialty items aligned with Castaway's culinary vision.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional pastry or baking role (fine dining or upscale environment preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques (doughs, mousses, custards, sauces, plated dessert composition)
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, team-oriented kitchen
- Licenses & Certifications Required: Food Handler Certificate
- Sexual Harassment Certificate
