Job Summary
Pastry Chef role at Cibaria Manly, working with the Executive Chef team to deliver exceptional pastry and dessert offerings. Responsibilities include menu planning, recipe development, tasting notes, ensuring high-standard execution, training and mentoring junior staff, maintaining food health & safety compliance, and assisting in cost control and stock management. Nice-to-have skills include gelato and fresh pasta making. Immediate start preferred; casual, in-person role based in Manly, NSW, Australia.
Required Qualifications
- Full Australian working rights
- Fluent in English
- Hospitality Qualifications and/or 12-36 months of employment experience
- Completed hospitality studies
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Positive attitude & attention to detail
- Excellent grooming and presentation
- Passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience
- Availability for weekend and holiday shifts
- Nice to have: Food Safety Supervisor certificate
- Fresh pasta making - BONUS
- Gelato making experience - BONUS
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine
