Job Summary
Lead and mentor pastry culinary team to craft high-quality pastries and decorative items, while personally preparing foods to specification. Drive guest and employee satisfaction, maintain standards, manage day-to-day operations, oversee budgeting and cost controls, train staff, and ensure sanitation and food safety compliance. Demonstrates leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to quality through supervision of cooks and workers, development of new applications and presentations, and ongoing coaching to achieve department goals in a Marriott hospitality environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
