Job Summary
Prepare a diverse selection of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring excellence in taste, texture, and visual presentation. Support the Executive Pastry Chef in creating innovative dessert menus using seasonal ingredients and contemporary techniques. Supervise and mentor junior staff while overseeing storage, handling, and display to adhere to food safety regulations. Monitor stock levels, assist in procurement, and plan production for hotel events and banquets. Collaborate with the broader culinary team and stay informed on emerging trends to evolve the pastry program. Join the team at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, a new luxury hotel in Athens' cultural center, where creativity and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pastry preparation in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts
- Specialty in pastry
- Strong technical skills in dessert presentation, baking, and pastry techniques
- Creativity and passion for developing innovative pastry dishes and desserts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in Greek and English
- Ability to work harmoniously within a team
