Job Summary
Pastry Chef role in a luxury five-star hotel kitchen focusing on pastry production, mise en place, stock control, and quality pastry items. Responsibilities include supervising and training junior cooks (Commis, Demis, and other cooks), ensuring food safety and sanitation, minimizing food waste, coordinating with Head Chef on menu tastings and client requests, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, developing new pastry ideas, and assisting in administrative functions and rosters to manage staffing levels. Requires certificate/degree in Culinary Arts or related field, HACCP/food safety certifications preferred, and 2–3 years of pastry chef experience; Vietnamese and English language skills. The position is in-person in Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau (Vietnam).
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or Degree in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry or related field
- HACCP, Food Safety or related certifications preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in luxury five-star hotel or upscale hospitality environment
- Languages: Vietnamese and English
