Job Summary
Join The Landings Golf & Athletic Club as a Pastry Apprentice, where you will assist in food preparation, maintain workstation cleanliness, and ensure high-quality food production in a fast-paced culinary environment. Responsibilities include receiving food orders, coordinating them for service pickup, managing inventory, controlling waste, and fulfilling food safety program requirements. Applicants should be a high school graduate or equivalent, ideally with one year of food production experience, and must be able to follow instructions, maintain communication, and manage multiple tasks effectively. ACF student membership during the apprenticeship is required.
Required Qualifications
- Be a High School graduate or equivalent
- Be an ACF student member for the duration of the apprenticeship
- A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in food production is ideal
- Must have basic knowledge of food production
- Understand demands of apprenticeship program
- Fulfill obligation to The Landings Golf & Athletic Club and supervising Chef
- Ability to attend all related instruction courses
- Ability to maintain regular communication with the program coordinator
- Maintain and complete the skills gallery
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions
- Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems
- Must have the ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize, and delegate
- Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks
