Job Summary

Collaborate with the clinical team to provide spiritual support, crisis call coverage, and skills training to individuals receiving outpatient services. Facilitate one-on-one engagement, group activities, and community ministry presentations while coordinating volunteer participation and managing client transport to appointments. Administer drug and alcohol screens as authorized, utilize clinical assessments, and maintain case records and productivity expectations. Build relationships with churches and faith-based organizations to support client recovery, provide referrals to spiritual mentors, and assist with discharge planning. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and trainings, and serve as a coach and mentor for other positions. Will become commissioned as a VOA minister within the first year of employment.

Required Qualifications

  • Background in Christian ministry/Ordination with four years' experience in the field
  • A degree in Christian counseling/Biblical studies with 1-year experience in an equivalent field
  • Lived experience allowing the employee to complete Peer Certification training and provide Peer Support group/individual care
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with no restrictions to become fully insurable
  • Will become commissioned as a Volunteers of America minister within the first year of employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Christian counseling/biblical studies from an accredited Theological Seminary with one or more years of experience in the field
