Job Summary
The Pastoral Associate at Saint George Church is responsible for Children’s Faith Formation, Liturgy Coordination, Bereavement Ministry, and Care-giver Support Group supervision. This role requires excellent communication and leadership abilities, as well as a deep understanding of Catholic faith and catechesis practices. The candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple projects. Evening and weekend availability is essential due to the demands of ministry. Familiarity with technology for faith formation is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to the faith
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Compassionate leadership and maintaining healthy relationships
- Understanding of Children’s Faith Formation methodologies and strategies
- Familiarity with Church documents and teachings
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in parish faith formation program
- Ability to collaborate with clergy, staff, and other parish leaders
- Familiarity with technology used in catechesis and faith formation
- Previous experience directing components of a Children’s Faith Formation program
