Job Summary
Develop and lead a long-term vision for Children's, Student, and College/Young Adult ministries, overseeing associated staff and volunteers. Teach students on God's Word, recruit and empower adult leaders, and develop student leaders as a leadership tool. Maintain effective communications with parents and the congregation while overseeing safety programs, facility management, and budget implementation. Function as a department head within the York Alliance Family of Churches, participating in team oversight of all ministry aspects. Establish a Sabbath day and maintain a healthy balance between family life and ministry responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with students in some type of ministry role
- A strong sense of calling by God to minister to students
- Strong leader with a solid work ethic and the ability to administer as a department head
- Possess a passion for developing students into followers of Jesus
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Establish a Sabbath day and be held accountable to it
Desired Qualifications
- A student ministry degree is preferable but not required
- Some work experience in the secular marketplace is preferred
