Job Summary
Pasting Operator I responsible for applying the appropriate paste to grids to create plates that help lead-acid batteries hold their charge. Role includes loading raw materials into machines, moving materials to/from machines, assisting in monitoring pasting machine function, performing visual inspections for quality and quantity, entering data into a data-collection system, and operating a forklift to move materials. Must work in a safety-focused, PPE-required environment (including a respirator) in a lead-acid battery manufacturing setting, with the ability to lift 50-80 lbs and endure long periods of standing in extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 2-3 years manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and heavy environment
- Must be committed to safety excellence and have ability to wear all required PPE (including a respirator)
- Must be clean shaven
- All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site
- Must be able to lift 50 - 80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
- Strong team skills
