Job Summary
Operate pasteurization equipment, tanks, pumps, and product lines while maintaining strict adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and food safety regulations. Monitor product processing against internal and federal Pasteurized Milk Ordinance requirements, ensuring accurate chart recording and documentation. Perform routine equipment adjustments, complete CIP/SIP/CIP sanitation, and manage reclaim processes. Operate lift trucks safely and execute departmental housekeeping duties. Identify out-of-specification conditions and communicate effectively with other departments to support production schedules and change-overs. Maintain a Grade A milk pasteurization license and comply with all occupational health and safety policies in a 24/7, 3-shift rotating environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of (2)-two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing
- Must obtain state pasteurization license
- Strong math skills
- Strong PC skills
- Ability to achieve lift truck certification and safely operate lift trucks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated work history
- Consistent attendance
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift
- Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures
- Physical lifting up to 40-lbs frequently throughout the shift
- Lift 50+ Lbs with assistance
- Shift flexibility
- Ability to work rotating, days, swing or night shift and weekends
- Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced quality/food safety training with a concentration in dairy science
- MS Excel and ERP systems
- SAP
- Strong technical skills, ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations
