Job Summary
Operate and monitor the High-Temperature Short-Time (HTST) pasteurization system, setting up equipment, ensuring proper pasteurization of dairy products, and conducting routine quality checks. Troubleshoot operational issues, maintain detailed production records, and execute allergen control programs while adhering to safety and quality standards. Complete milk and cream pasteurization, batch products, log ingredients in Factory Track software, and maintain vitamin levels for HTST milk products. Monitor fats, solids, and allergens, maintain equipment sanitation through CIP and manual cleaning, and document information on Pasteurization charts per regulations. Report food safety or quality issues to management and promote a safe work environment by following 5S and GMP standards. This role is based in Tempe, Arizona, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 12:00pm to 9:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with pasteurization, or specifically in dairy
