Job Summary
Pasta Maker creates fresh batches of pasta daily to be sold in the market and served in restaurants at an Eataly location, weighs and packages pasta, advises guests on pasta choices, rotates items according to FIFO standards, and maintains a clean, sanitary workstation. The role reports to the Fresh Pasta Lead and requires knowledge of Italian cuisine, on-site availability (weekends often), and the ability to operate a commercial mixer and pasta machine while lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities include educating guests on pastas and providing excellent customer service, with a focus on high-quality standards and proper inventory rotation. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or culinary degree preferred
- 1+ year of experience as a cook or chef preferred
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- Ability to operate a commercial mixer and pasta machine
