Job Summary
Passive Fire Surveyor required to join SOCOTEC UK & Ireland's Environment & Safety division in London and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include conducting fire door inspections (including visual and destructive examinations when requested), verifying labelling/certification, checking for damage or modifications, testing operation of doors and hardware, ensuring compliance with current fire and building codes, evaluating installations, preparing detailed inspection reports, maintaining records, and promoting fire safety best practices. Ideal candidate demonstrates strong understanding of fire door regulations and fire safety standards, attention to detail, effective communication, independence, and teamwork.
