Job Summary
Passenger Service Ramp Agent role performing baggage handling, ground support coordination, and passenger assistance in a fast-paced airport environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading baggage and cargo, marshaling and aircraft servicing, transporting baggage between terminals, providing wheelchair and gate assistance, assisting with boarding/deplaning, operating ground support equipment (belt loaders, baggage carts, tugs, tow equipment), ensuring baggage is delivered to correct flights, complying with TSA and airport safety procedures, inspecting equipment, and communicating with gate agents, dispatchers, supervisors, and flight crews. Requires high school diploma (or GED), ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends/holidays, strong communication and teamwork, physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, English reading/writing proficiency, and successful completion of pre-employment drug tests and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license may be required
- Previous airport, ramp, customer service, warehouse, or logistics experience
- Airport ramp, gate areas, and terminal operations environment
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 70 pounds regularly
- Must stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
- Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials
- Identification badges must always be visible
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
