Job Summary
Computerized check-in of passengers for international and domestic travel, including verifying documentation, assigning seats, and ensuring correct boarding passes are provided. Match manifest to on-board count and assist with various governmental agency requirements while connecting and disconnecting Jetway or stairs as necessary. Announce arrivals and departures as needed and ensure compliance with airline, airport, and regulatory requirements. This role requires working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Candidates must speak, read, and write in English and possess basic computer proficiency for airline reservation systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- HS Diploma or GED
- Some customer service, hospitality, airline, or airport experience
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn airline reservation and departure control systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Able to continuously lift, push and pull up to 70 lbs
- Must be able to comply with Substance Misuse Policy (prohibition of alcohol and drug misuse)
