Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School for legally married couples. They reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for groups of 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentoring, medication administration, transport to activities, planning/developmental and recreational activities, daily devotions, and Chapel attendance. Initial nine days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Includes relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive benefits. Requires both spouses to complete individual applications and meet age, residency, and lifestyle requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
