Job Summary
PAS Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$44,768) with comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and two-year married status for both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
