Job Summary
Conduct outpatient and inpatient registration functions, including emergency department, surgery, and observation processes. Manage up-front collections and cashiers while verifying insurance and assisting patients with financial requirements or payment plans. Provide general information to hospital users, patients, and families to ensure they meet financial requirements and maximize patient flow. Maintain excellent customer service and communicate effectively with service delivery areas. Requires clear communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and detail orientation. High school diploma required with one year of healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in one or more of these settings: Customer Service Setting, Hospital or Clinic setting
- Ability to work cooperatively with people and to maintain an objective attitude
- Ability to exercise tact and initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
