Job Summary
The role involves registering patients and verifying insurance under the guidance of the Registration Services Team Lead, performing tasks such as entering demographics, obtaining signatures (HIPAA, consent forms), confirming coverage for pre-authorization/pre-certification, scheduling Radiology/Lab/other services, and handling patient financial interactions. Responsibilities include collecting patient liabilities, facilitating admissions/discharges, maintaining accurate records, and supporting related clerical duties (faxing, typing, transcription, packet preparation). Requires strong data-entry, customer service, and English language skills, with healthcare terminology knowledge; the position emphasizes a respectful, patient-focused environment and adherence to department policies and safety standards. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required
- Proficient data-entry skills with attention to detail
- Computer skills with Windows navigation
- Customer service skills (verbal and written)

- English speaking, reading and writing skills
- Preferred: 1-2 years of data entry and/or customer service experience
- Preferred: Experience in hospital admissions, insurance, billing, scheduling or telephone customer service
- Preferred: Previous insurance verification experience
- Preferred: Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
