Job Summary
Manages the daily operations of Patient Access Services (e.g., scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, ED/hospital registration, inpatient admission, financial counseling, admission/discharge, bed control) and provides staff leadership to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include staffing and budget adherence, coaching and development, and implementing training and operational initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's degree and several years of healthcare patient access experience with at least one year in a managerial role; strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with EMR software and MS Office; and ability to drive customer service excellence and optimize revenue cycle operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or additional four years of experience in lieu of degree
- Five years of patient access services or related experience, of which one year must have been in a managerial role in healthcare
