Job Summary
Manage daily bed assignment operations by ensuring timely patient admission and registration with minimal inconvenience. Obtain necessary patient information, distribute records expeditiously, and secure legal consent forms for treatment and admission. Screen insurance information, verify coverage, and obtain pre-approval to maintain financial integrity. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and third-party payers while prioritizing patient placement and resolving issues appropriately. Requires thorough knowledge of third-party payer requirements, medical terminology, and Windows applications. Two months on-the-job training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Windows application knowledge

- Keyboard, Computer and office machine experience

- ability to maintain patient records, screen insurance information and prioritize patient placement
- ability to pay close attention to detail to enable accuracy of information
- thorough understanding of third party payer requirements and regulations
- ability to identify, report and resolve issues appropriately
- Previous medical/hospital experience with exposure to billing/insurances and Windows applications
- 2-3+ years of experience in a hospital setting
- High School or GED
