Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate store events at Michaels, including kids' birthday parties and craft classes, delivering friendly customer service and helping guests shop. Responsibilities include assisting with event setup and teardown, face painting and activity instruction, executing add-ons like goody bags and balloons, communicating with clients and store teammates, handling administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork), and supporting omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS). Maintain brand standards, safety, and store cleanliness throughout events; engage guests of all ages and uphold a positive, creative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children and children’s events
- Excellent people skills
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal)
- Organizational and interpersonal skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stand for long periods and move around a retail store
