Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events such as kids’ birthday parties and craft classes at Michaels; deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and manage checkout. Responsibilities include event coordination for multiple events, client communication, conducting face painting and activities, arranging party add-ons (goody bags, balloons), handling administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork), creating backup/emergency plans, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety. Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling/production; participate in stock/receiving, SOPs, and omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS); support shrink and safety programs; engage guests of all ages and collaborate with team members to uphold brand standards. Additionally, assist with store-wide duties such as unpacking trucks, merchandising, recovery, and keeping the customer experience positive and engaging. Required Qualifications
- Retail and/or customer service experience required
- Experience working with children and children’s events
- Must have excellent people skills
- Must have good communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal)
- Must have organizational and creative problem-solving skills
