Job Summary
The Party Chief Surveyor oversees the survey crew management and serves as the client liaison. Responsibilities include ensuring crew safety, managing computations and equipment maintenance, conducting various construction stakeout projects, performing topographic surveys, and completing mathematical calculations for data accuracy. The role requires leadership skills, adherence to safety training, and effective communication with clients and public landowners. A minimum of 5 years as a Party Chief Surveyor and 1 year of supervisory experience is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 5 years working as a Party Chief Surveyor on a new construction site
- Must have 1+ year’s supervisory experience
- Proficient in managing crew, time, and costs
- Must have good leadership and communication skills
- Must have a good understanding of Matrix Service policies and procedures
- Must be able to complete the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client/Site specific training
- Must obtain and maintain active status within the required drug testing program
- Must pass a background check
Additional Requirements
- Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind
- Must be able to work for long periods of time up to 12 hours a day
- Must be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
