Job Summary
Combine technical survey responsibilities with increasing involvement in project planning, client liaison, tendering, documentation, and project coordination. Manage the full survey project lifecycle from mobilisation through acquisition, QC, reporting, and final delivery while retaining occasional offshore and nearshore project involvement. Apply strong EIVA Suite, GIS (QGIS/Arcgis), and positioning system skills (MBES, SSS, SBP, USBL, LBL) to deliver client-ready technical documentation. This hybrid role offers a clear progression path from Party Chief to Project Manager with opportunities for career development, training, and a car salary sacrifice scheme. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Party Chief / Senior Surveyor in offshore and/or nearshore survey operations
- Strong proficiency in the EIVA Suite
- Good understanding of the full survey project lifecycle, from tendering and planning through mobilisation, acquisition, QC, reporting and final delivery
- Strong GIS capability with QGIS and/or Arcgis
- Experience in survey reporting, technical documentation and client deliverables
- Practical experience with MBES, SSS, SBP and positioning systems, including exposure to USBL and LBL operations
- Strong understanding of survey data workflows, QC and project documentation
- Good communication skills with the ability to work with clients, project teams and offshore personnel
- British Citizen or UK ILR holder, with unrestricted right to work in the UK
Desired Qualifications
- Degree In Hydrography
- CAT B or CAT A certified
- Beamworx experience
- A genuine ambition to develop into a Project Management position
- willing to relocate to Aberdeen
