Job Summary
Independent Contractor Party Chief for NexGen Enterprises in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Manage boundary, topographic, construction staking, and control surveys on a project-by-project basis, operating GPS, Total Stations, and data collectors with precision. Interpret plans and specifications, document field notes and sketches, and maintain safety and quality on all jobs. Requires 3+ years field surveying experience (including leadership), strong GPS/Total Station/data collection skills, knowledge of legal descriptions and construction staking, a Florida driver’s license with a clean record, and ability to work independently outdoors. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of field surveying experience including independent or crew leadership roles
- Strong proficiency with GPS, Total Stations, and data collection software
- Solid understanding of survey principles, legal descriptions, and construction staking
- A valid Florida driver’s license with a clean record (fewer than 3 moving violations in 3 years; no DUI or reckless driving in 5 years)
- Own reliable transportation to and from job sites
- High school diploma or GED; technical surveying training a plus
- Ability to work independently outdoors in Florida’s conditions
- Strong communication skills and professional, accountable approach to engagements
