Party and Event Host

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events at a Michaels store in Prosper, TX, including kids’ birthday parties and other craft classes or events. Deliver friendly customer service by helping guests shop and providing fast, friendly checkout experiences. Manage event logistics such as truck unload, merchandise duties, setup and teardown, and maintaining store recovery standards. Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, perform face painting and other activities, and coordinate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons. Communicate events with clients and store team members; complete administrative tasks (emails, phone calls, paperwork) and adjust plans based on client feedback. Create backup or emergency plans as needed and ensure client satisfaction. Cross-train in Custom Framing sales/production. Participate in daily store cleanliness, omnichannel processes (Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store), and adhere to SOPs and company programs. Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and educate customers on VOC surveys. Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings; physically able to stand for long periods and assist with stocking, lifting, and moving materials.
