Job Summary
Party and Event Host at Michaels Park City store coordinates and conducts events including kids birthday parties and craft classes, delivering friendly customer service, assisting guests with shopping, guiding participants through craft projects, performing face painting and activities, coordinating add-ons (goody bags, balloons), handling event logistics (setup, teardown, backup plans), communicating with clients and store team, and supporting store operations (truck unload, merchandising, planograms, SISO, and SOP adherence) while promoting store brand standards and customer satisfaction. Role requires engaging with guests of all ages, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and participating in omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS). Benefits available for eligible team members; evening/weekend shifts are common.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience working with children and children's events
- Retail and/or customer service experience required
- Must have excellent people skills
- Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills
- Must have organizational skills and creative problem-solving abilities
- Able to stand for long periods and move around the store
