Party and Event Host and Team Member Must be available on weekends

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within a Michaels store (including kids’ birthday parties) to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop and find what they’re looking for; ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience. Perform operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards. Coordinate multiple events (children’s parties and other craft classes) and engage with clients of all ages (4 to 94+) by creating an environment of fun and creativity. Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects; perform face painting and other activities. Facilitate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards. Communicate events with clients and store team members; complete administrative tasks (emails, phone calls, paperwork); adjust plans based on client feedback. Create backup/emergency plans; ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events; uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before/after each event. Customer Experience: help customers shop, locate products, provide solutions, explain rewards program and private label credit cards; enroll customers in VOC surveys. Assist with Omni-channel processes (BOPIS and SFS); participate in truck unloading, stocking, planogram (POG) processes; perform SISO and AD set duties; support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies. Interact respectfully with others; promote the company’s values; serve as a role model for other Team Members. Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling/production. Participate in daily store cleanliness activities. Other duties as assigned. Preferred: energetic, excellent people skills, experience with children and children’s events, strong written/verbal/nonverbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Physical: standing for long periods, movement throughout the store, lifting, bending, climbing ladders.
