Job Summary
Inspect shipments at loading and unloading for damage and quantity daily, stock all parts in correct bins, and verify part numbers and quantities against packing slips. Check in UPS, GM, and other vendor parts daily, count delivered items, and sign for them. Package and ship return-to-vendor orders, write up core returns, damage claims, and shortage/overage claims, and assign new parts to bins lacking locations. Control special and emergency orders by tagging and notifying appropriate personnel, assist drivers in loading and unloading parts trucks, and operate the fork truck for items requiring it. Maintain bins, racks, and equipment, keep the parts area clean, and secure the building at close.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year tenure at previous employers working in warehouse/returns
- You have experience with working in returns
- Valid Driver's License
- Hazardous material handling certification
- Fork lift operator certification
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Must be available for Monday - Friday 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM shifts
- Must NOT be available for weekends
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to work with others and also independently
