Job Summary
Pull parts from stock for will-call, counter, shop, and transfer orders while ensuring customer satisfaction and accurate inventory retrieval. Put parts in stock from daily orders, branch transfers, and credits; assemble Caterpillar and custom hoses; pack and ship parts; and manage truck deliveries as required. Maintain the will-call area and warehouse for retrieval accuracy, research inventory discrepancies, and maximize department efficiency. Adhere to all safety policies, wear required PPE, and complete mandatory safety training. Operate forklifts and heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Clean & valid driver's license
- CDL
- Previous experience working in a warehouse
- Forklift experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with basic computer applications including Microsoft Outlook
- Proficiency with inventory-related software
- Standing and walking (including on uneven surfaces)
- Sitting, body rotation, and forward bending (in both sitting and standing positions)
- Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Machine or team lift for items over 50 lbs.
- Carrying up to 50 lbs. for short distances
- Push/pull tasks requiring up to 75 lbs. of force
- Climbing stairs and ladders (including non-standard access points)
- Crawling, kneeling (low work), and working in awkward/tight positions
- Strong grip strength (up to 80 lbs. with both hands; up to 30 lbs. with one hand)
- Hand coordination and overhead/extended reaching
- Operating equipment, machinery, foot pedals, and hand tools
- Outdoor work as required (exposure to weather and varying environments)
- Wearing up to 20 lbs. of PPE, including flame-resistant clothing, welding helmets/shields, and ANSI-rated protective footwear as required
