Job Summary
Parts Technician responsible for ensuring parts are available to truck and trailer technicians for repairs, managing inventory stock levels, performing audits, and submitting orders to maintain adequate parts supply. Maintains information systems and processes core and warranty returns per Company requirements. Includes potential for outdoor work and variable shifts (nights/weekends) and full-time attendance. Key responsibilities include fulfilling parts requests, inventory control, safety compliance, training others, ensuring proper charging to units, retaining and shipping parts per warranty procedures, maintaining records and filing, and handling inbound shipments and stock updates.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 12 to 18 months of direct experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
- Basic deductive reasoning skills
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient active listening and organizational skills
- Proficient time management and ability to fulfill physical requirements (lifting above 50 lbs, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling)
- Ability to wear PPE
- Favorable to teamwork and independent work
- Ability to perform cycle counts and manage inventories
- Experience with information systems for inventory and part tracking
