Parts Support Specialist

Job Summary
Inspect and process incoming parts shipments against purchase orders, verifying discrepancies and coordinating vendor resolutions. Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and physical audits while managing the parts management system. Identify chassis components using manuals and schematics to assist technicians with lookups and substitutions. Pull, stage, and deliver parts to assembly lines and work orders to minimize downtime. Process returned or defective parts for warranty credits and replacements. Generate purchase order requests for stock replenishment and track open orders. Maintain a clean, organized parts room adhering to facility and manufacturer guidelines. Collaborate with assembly and operations teams to anticipate parts needs and communicate availability delays. Follow safety protocols for heavy components, hazardous materials, and PPE requirements. Document parts transactions and generate inventory adjustment reports as requested.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree or technical training in automotive, diesel, or mechanical fields
- 1–2 years of experience in a parts room, warehouse, or automotive/chassis service environment
- Familiarity with chassis systems and mechanical component identification
- Experience with inventory management or parts management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
- Proficiency in reading parts manuals, catalogs, and basic schematics
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing or service facility environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures
- Reliable transportation
