Job Summary
Parts Specialist role at Yancey Bros. Co in Washington, GA: provide consultative parts sales to walk-in and shop customers, greet customers, advise on related parts, inform customers of specials, process back-orders and create purchase orders, initiate outbound sales calls, handle cash/credit transactions, and participate in safety and training programs. Requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, excellent communication, ability to learn parts knowledge, teamwork, forklift certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills both over the phone and in person
- Ability to quickly pick up on different software and websites used in searching and ordering parts
- Work with a sense of urgency and organization
- Be able to act as a consultant on parts and service, rather than an order taker
- Ability to become forklift certified
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally higher amounts with assistant devices
