Job Summary
Greet and assist customers in-person and over the phone with parts inquiries, providing expert recommendations based on equipment needs. Process orders promptly and accurately while working with vendors to ensure timely delivery and verifying incoming order accuracy. Maintain inventory levels by receiving, inspecting, and organizing shipments, and assist with annual audits. Keep organized records of transactions and generate reports on sales and inventory metrics. Stay up-to-date on construction equipment parts, researching alternatives when needed, and assist the Parts Manager with department-related tasks and merchandising. Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain forklift certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs regularly, over 100 lbs occasionally)
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach
- Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- Must be able to become forklift certified
Desired Qualifications
- Additional technical training
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction equipment industry
- Strong understanding of construction equipment parts and components
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in inventory management systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Typing speed of 30 WPM or higher
