Parts Specialist

Job Summary
Greet retail and walk-in customers, assist in their merchandise selection, and answer phone calls by looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending related items. Follow and promote company customer service programs including Hi-5 and the Low-Price Guarantee while addressing complaints. Process exchanges, returns, and credit card transactions; maintain and secure the cash drawer. Assist managers and installer specialists with professional customers. Complete daily image maker updates, planogram changes, stocking, cleaning, and inventory cycle counts. Operate brake lathe and test equipment after training. Perform in-store services such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning trouble codes. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
- ASE certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
