Job Summary
Parts Specialist provides high-level service to retail and installer customers, assists with store management tasks, handles customer inquiries by phone and in-person, processes exchanges/returns, maintains cash drawer and sales transactions, executes daily store operations (stocking, planograms, freight receival), and may perform light in-store services and occasional deliveries. The role requires strong customer service, multitasking across phone and in-store interactions, familiarity with automotive parts or willingness to learn, and bilingual ability (Spanish encouraged). The position supports store management and emphasizes customer-forward service aligned with company programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, related selling, Rock the Lot).
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Multitask effectively handling customers on the phone and in-store
- Ability to accurately look up parts and quote prices
- Ability to process cash/credit transactions
- Ability to resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
- Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging is a plus
- Bilingual Spanish encouraged
- Overtime or driving responsibilities as needed (delivery vehicle operation may occur)
