Job Summary
Parts Specialist provides high-level service to retail and installer customers, greets customers, assists in selecting merchandise, processes payments, handles exchanges/returns, supports store management with tasks, and performs in-store services (e.g., wipers, batteries, diagnostic tests) as trained. The role involves using the catalog/system to look up parts and quote prices, maintaining accurate cash handling, answering store calls, addressing customer complaints, stocking and updating displays, and contributing to daily operational tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and ASE certification or automotive parts knowledge is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Multitask effectively while handling customers in-store and on the phone
- Accurately process cash, checks, and card transactions
- Maintain and secure cash drawer
- Handle exchanges and returns per policy
- Assist with daily store operations including stocking, planogram updates, and inventory tasks
- Familiarity with automotive parts and sales/service is a plus
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish highly desired)
