Job Summary
Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts handles customer-focused sales and service for retail and installer customers. Responsibilities include applying company customer-service programs, assisting customers in selecting merchandise, processing calls and transactions, handling returns, maintaining cash drawer, shelving and inventory tasks, and performing in-store services (e.g., wipers, batteries) as trained. The role supports store management, emphasizes friendly service, accurate pricing and quotes, and requires multitasking between phone and in-store duties. Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is encouraged; ASE certification and automotive parts familiarity are preferred. Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Outstanding, friendly, professional customer service
- Multitasking between in-store and phone interactions
- Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging systems, and related sales/service knowledge (preferred)
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply (Spanish highly desired)
- Ability to operate cash drawer, accept payments, and process returns/exchanges per policy
- Ability to follow company programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call) and training
- Drive a delivery vehicle when needed (driving record meets requirements)
- Ability to perform in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, diagnose issues)
- Communicate effectively and resolve customer complaints
