Job Summary
The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service, support store management in assigned tasks, greet customers, look up parts and quote prices, process transactions, handle returns/exchanges, assist with merchandising and inventory tasks, operate related equipment after training, and may drive a delivery vehicle as needed. Bilingual candidates are encouraged. The role emphasizes customer service, accurate cash handling, sales support for professional customers, and adherence to company programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, related selling, Rock the Lot).
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
- Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service ASE certification (desired)
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
- Excellent cash handling and point-of-sale operation
- Ability to operate store test equipment after training
- Knowledge of returns processing and exchange procedures
- Comfort with driving deliveries when required
