Job Summary
Greet retail and walk-in customers, assist them in merchandise selection, and answer phone calls to quote prices and recommend premium items. Follow and promote company customer service programs including Hi-5 and the Low-Price Guarantee while resolving complaints. Process cash, checks, and credit card transactions, manage the cash drawer, and handle exchanges and returns. Perform daily operational tasks such as stocking shelves, updating planograms, conducting inventory cycle counts, and preparing merchandise returns. Operate brake lathes and other test equipment after training, and perform in-store services like installing wipers and testing batteries. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
- Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service
- ASE certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
