Job Summary
Parts Specialist provides exceptional service to retail and installer customers, greets walk-in customers, assists in selecting merchandise, processes transactions, handles exchanges/returns, and supports store management with daily operations. Responsibilities include assisting professional customers, maintaining visual displays and planograms, performing in-store services (e.g., installing wipers, testing batteries, scanning vehicle trouble codes), handling phone inquiries, and contributing to a friendly, efficient shopping experience. Bilingual candidates encouraged; ASE certification preferred. The role involves cash handling, inventory tasks, occasional deliveries, and adherence to company policies and training to support growth within O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Outstanding customer service
- Multitasking in-store and on the phone
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
- Ability to operate cash drawer and process transactions
- Knowledge of initiating exchanges/returns per policy
- Ability to read and quote prices
- Familiarity with automotive parts and related tools
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish) encouraged
- ASE certification preferred
