Job Summary
Parts Specialist role involving assisting customers with parts lookup and quotes, researching parts from manuals, entering orders, setting up new customers in the computer, coordinating parts to service orders, and supporting mechanics with diagrams and part identification. Responsibilities include processing orders with current pricing and freight, utilizing inventory to reduce surplus and correct misorders, ensuring on-order parts meet customer requirements, maintaining timely service, and delivering excellent customer service including conflict resolution. Requires basic knowledge of equipment sold, proficiency with reference manuals, strong computer skills, organizational and time-management abilities, and team-player attitude; forklift experience and a valid driver’s license are pluses.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a basic knowledge of all equipment sold by Heavy Machines
- Must be able to use all reference manuals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle stress associated with deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills including conflict resolution
- Strong computer skills
- Must be a Team Player
- Able to assist with special projects as directed by Customer Service Manager
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a parts and/or service background
- Preference given to candidates with a heavy truck parts and service background
- Forklift experience
- Valid Drivers License is a plus
