Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients by sourcing parts from vendors and databases while actively seeking upsell opportunities. Prepare and ship daily and weekly shipments, organize inventory, and assist the shipping/receiving department as needed. Create and maintain standard operating procedures for shipping and receiving, and support service department stocking requirements. Assist customers with exchanges, returns, and warranty claims while following up post-sale to ensure satisfaction. Work Monday through Friday behind the counter to be the primary parts resource, utilizing a competitive team-based incentive plan.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Basic reading and math skills
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb stairs
- Must be able to push, pull, twist, and work in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels
- Must be able to work in a smoke-free and drug-free environment
- Must pass a background check and drug screen (including THC)
- Must be available for Monday-Friday hours
- Must be able to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
- Must be able to work closely with vendors and customers to provide parts in a timely manner
- Must be able to prepare/perform daily & weekly shipments
- Must be able to organize and ship parts
- Must be able to provide shipping and receiving department support when needed
- Must be able to create and maintain standard operating procedures for shipping & receiving
- Must be able to research websites and vendor databases for parts pricing
- Must be able to assist customers with exchanges, returns and warranty claims
- Must be able to follow up with retail customers after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction
- Must be able to support Service Department to ensure adequate stocking and timely arrival of necessary parts
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have customer facing experience
- Must have strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in working with parts sales and delivery
- Experience with heavy equipment parts
- 2+ years' experience working in parts department for heavy-duty diesel and/or construction equipment shop
- Product knowledge
