Job Summary
Parts Specialist provides high-level service to retail and installer customers, greets customers, assists with merchandise selection, looks up parts and quotes prices, and offers related items with a focus on customer satisfaction. Handles phone inquiries, processes exchanges/returns, manages cash and card transactions, and supports store management with daily tasks such as stocking shelves, planogram updates, and image maker duties. Performs in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test/charge batteries, test charging system, scan trouble codes) after training; may drive a delivery vehicle as needed. Bilingual candidates encouraged; ASE certification is a desirable qualification. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to company policies, and ongoing training, with opportunities for growth within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
- ASE certification
- Experience with automotive parts cataloging or sales/service is a plus
- Knowledge of weatherly index system or related automotive cataloging terms (desired)
- Ability to accurately handle cash drawer, payments, and returns
- Willingness to perform in-store services (wipers, batteries, trouble codes, etc.) as directed
